7 Random things

Ok so I got tasked to come up with seven random things about myself from my wonderful friend Jackie Fuchs and I figure if she has time to do it with her 5 kids then so do I. So here goes...

1. I have a terrible long term memory. Honestly my older sister remembers my life in far greater detail than I do. Often times she will mention something that I did growing up and all I can remember about it is a picture that I have in a photo album. It is pathetic. (this is an excuse for why the rest of these answers are going to be difficult for me)

2. When I was little my best friend and I didn't play house or dolls - we played business...we opened hotels, real estate agencies, lemonade stands, clothing stores...and the list goes on. Our favorite place to go was the Office Max (oh and the candy store!)

3. I don't like animals. When asked what my favorite animal (in the general sense) is I can't really think of one. Now of course my favorite animal is Kenai -- who thought I could love a dog so much when I don't really like dogs??? (notice my cheap plug for her at the right??) Because I don't like animals I don't really care for Zoos either...too bad for our kids.

4. One of my biggest fears is missing out on my life - worrying about things so much that I miss the fun part of actually enjoying my life. (which is funny because then I am worrying about worrying too much - oh what a wreck I am!)

5. I knew that if Brad and I started dating we would end up getting married. I told a friend of mine that before I even thought I wanted to date him.

6. The person I have most admired in my life is my Grandma (Gram). She was an amazing woman who personified selflessness and unconditional love. I love telling people that she was in the navy - I think that is such a cool thing. She was brave and adventurous and wonderful! Today is the one year anniversary of her passing away. I can't wait to see her again!

7. One of my favorite things is the feel of beautiful, green grass on my bare feet.

There I made it to 7! phew!

You did it! I'm with you on the memory thing and to think I've lost more brain cells with each kid... it's scary. I also love what you wrote about your Grandma, what a special lady!
